The artifacts below are from my ENGLISH 325: Art of the Essay class. For our first writing exercise we were tasked with writing three introductions to three different essays. I decided to write about a Boy a Drive-In and my Identity. Later on in the semester, we were assigned three essays to write on any topic of our choice, as long as two of them used a portion of writing from one of our exercises. The second artifact, an essay titled "The Problem with Busy" was born from the second introductory paragraph from my first exercise "Drive-In." In this essay I relate the fast food industry to the toxic culture of busyness. There's also a little nod to my experience with mental health thrown in there.
